Caklids are large beasts covered in black fur except for their face and paws which have white fur. They are the size of the average grizzly bear and have long, sharp claws. They normally stand on all fours but they can stand upright which is a pretty scary sight considering their size. They have a long curled proboscis on their face and huge pupilless grey eyes. When hunting for food, they will find the prey they want and will chase it down. They are fast runners and it does not take long before they catch the desired meal. They will either knock out the animal or slit its throat with their claws before sticking its long tongue into its neck and drinking the animal's blood. Caklids can be found in the Forbidden Woods and the Grimleaf Forest.
They are dangerous to anyone in the area. They are mainly attracted to the scent of warm blood. People have found that if they wear something with a strong scent such as perfume, the beast wont smell the blood and wont be interested unless they actually see the person. Perfume or other strong scented sprays can be used to stun the beast if they are chasing someone as the stuff hurts their nose and will give someone a fighting chance. Of course, there is always Dragon Spit which some use. Dragon Spit is a spray which stings the offender like fire and gives them burns when it hits so it will definitely stop the Caklid from chasing.
Red Caklid[]
There are unconfirmed reports of large red caklids in the Forbidden Woods, but since its existence hasn't been proven, it is considered to be a legendary cryptid. Adding further skepticism, there are some wild claims about the Red Caklid, told in anecdotes from people of questionable sanity. Alleged traits of the Red Caklid vary between stories, but include an ability to fly, a glowing pink spaceship, time manipulating powers, human speech, teleportation, and an affinity for lemonade. One woman even claimed to have had a relationship with the Red Caklid, saying that they had a family together on the planet Djakron in the Red Caklid's opulent space fortress.
