Thundertail

Thundertails are tall raptors with diamond shaped stripes that go from the back of their head to the end of their tail. They can be grey, pink, blue, green, or yellow in color and all of them have yellow eyes. They have a little horn at the end of their snout and frills around their heads. Thundertails have long and sticky purple tongues which they use to catch insects, especially fat purple flies called grape flies.

Thundertails have been a source of transportation for many centuries because they are very fast runners with good endurance so they can keep running for hours at a time. They aren't the most intelligent creatures as their big yellow eyes might suggest and it takes a bit of time to train one, but they have proven to be great companions once tamed and trained. Of course, other methods of transportation have been created since the days of riding on animals, but some people still like to stick with these lizards to this day.
