The Zana fish is a bright colored fish found in some lakes of Taurica. It has a medium sized, flat body that allows it to swim quickly after prey or away from predators. Zana fish are considered to be quite tasty, so fishermen like to catch them to make meals out of them. Zana fish can bite if they confuse a hand with food or if they feel threatened, and their bites are known to be quite painful. Because of this, fishermen catching Zana fish usually wear thick clothing to prevent Zana fish bites from harming them.
Zana tea is a very popular drink throughout much of Taurica. The tea is made from the ground up splunge and gallbladder of the zana fish, boiled in water to bring out a rich, salty flavour.
