The Great Elder Village people are renowned for their great hospitality.
The year-round snow makes for great tourism for the picturesque villages in the mountains. These villages have banned the hunting of local fauna to protect the elusive and endangered Frosthook Ram, long valued for its highly valuable pelts and durable horns.
The people of these picturesque villages do not rely on the Alsan for their power needs. Instead, they mine the bedrock beneath the Great Elder Ridge for rybilum, a mineral that, when heated and agitated, slowly disintegrates to release usable power. When expended, rybilum takes on a deep purple color and is then fashioned into brilliant jewellery.
