Asoumiranz Legal System[]

Courthouses are buildings where judiciary hearings take place, and people are judged guilty or innocent. Courthouses generally reside at the tops of large mountains or hills. Courthouses must reside atop mountains, as judges refuse to live anywhere else. Police sherpas escort accusers and accused up to the courthouses to be judged. Often two parties will both be accusing each other, so it is possible to be both an accused and an accuser. Judges are goats with long curly white hair on their heads, and ten eyes, who head-butt the accused party. This head-butt of judgement will not effect an innocent person, but will knock a guilty party onto their haunches. The judge has special powers, so this judgement is accurate, not arbitrary.

When an accused is found innocent, the accuser must pay legal fees to the police sherpa and the jury. A juror is a person who resides in the courthouse, who feeds hay to the judge and mucks out the courthouse, among other duties. Jurors make up the jury, one or two jurors manning the courthouse at a time, while another goes down the mountain to collect more supplies.

If the accused is found guilty, the legal fees will be paid by the state via taxes. Once an accused is found guilty, the judge will walk over to a shelf which houses many coloured dumbbells. It will pick up a dumbbell in its mouth, and this dumbbell determines how the guilty party will be punished.

The head-butt of judgement is a magic head-butt. For strong criminals, it's all the more embarrassing. If the criminal avoids being knocked overusing some magic means, the judge will generally be able to tell. The head-butt of judgement causes a telepathic link. If the link is blocked, the judge will know that the person is hiding something. It might be possible for a person to create a fake innocent mind for the judge to connect with, but depending on the experience of the judge, they might be able to detect a fake mind too.
