A Shajrak lies in wait
and its scaled skin with feathers along its back make it good at hiding itself as well as hunting. It usually lies in wait for an unsuspecting inhabitant to walk by, and shoots its long neck out to devour them quickly. It is also a rather slow animal in terms of walking or running, so it has to be careful it isn't heard while hiding so its prey doesn't get away.
