A tugowa poking its head out of the ground.

Tugowas are a species of mammals that live in dry areas such as prairies or places with lots of dirt and not much vegetation. They live underground in small holes which they dig themselves. They tunnel through the dirt to get to food such as worms and smaller animals living underground. Tugowas are either grey or brown depending on their location. Male tugowas have two tusks which they use to help them dig as well as fight enemy creatures. They also use these against other male tugowas when competing for a mate. Tugowas also have sharp white claws for digging and defense.
